Love Soccer, Will Travel is open. For those that have followed the Cupgeek: I am proud of you. And I thank you. But please, I encourage you to peruse the new site: www.LoveSoccer-WillTravel.com. It has more content, better photos, more links and just generally looks like an actual website.
I feel like I'm selling diet pills or something... So yeah, from here on out, go here for your geek fix.
Thanks everyone.

To my tens of readers,
Cupgeek is over. It's been over for a little more than a week, actually. I'm sorry for the delay in the announcement.
Why would I do this with the World Cup only 100 days away? Well, the simple answer is that I'm vain and this site looks so seven years ago. I'm perpetually late on fads. I didn't get a Nintendo until puberty. I also didn't receive notification that the bowl cut fad was over until way too late. More recently, I seem to have missed the boat on blogging. Here we are in an age when people have evolved to communicate in 140 characters or less and I'm still typing these draconian volumes into this ancient printing press.

I've grown tired of being behind. I bought an iPhone because it was shiny and pretty. Then I got a MacBook because that cool guy on TV made fun of the uncool guy. And now, I am making a virtual leap forward.
www.LoveSoccer-WillTravel.com has replaced the geek. It's still under construction, but the site promises to be a step into the future (or 2006, at least). It will have photographs. And links. And things that move when you click on them. Also: more regular content, thoughts from the road, fan photos from South Africa, travel information from people who actually know things and a regular segment from my buddy Brian about how crappy it is to be stuck in America when the rest of the world is partying.
The maintenance of Love Soccer, Will Travel will probably make my World Cup less fun, but I like to think that's to your benefit.
Keep checking this space to find out when LSWT is "ready," and feel free to chime in with your comments or ideas. If you find yourself enjoying it, share the love.
Thanks,
Luda Hoe
